VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Fitzroy Learning Network.

The services and programs we offer to our community would not survive without the support of our volunteer team. Volunteering at FLN is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution, learn from other community members, and develop new skills. We take a ‘strengths-based’ approach to our work. This also applies to our volunteers, aiming to draw on their existing strengths as well as fostering new ones. We believe by working side by side and sharing our strengths we can build a more united Fitzroy community.

Volunteers work with us in a range of ways including:-

  • Classroom assistants (English as an Additional Language, computer skills, crafts, etc)

  • Community support (e.g. form filling, job application help, citizenship test practise)

  • Food Bank

  • Event support

  • Board of Management
