Our Fitzroy Kitchen Catering employs people who love to prepare food, and share it, and their culture, with others.
You can find us at the market at 90 Brunswick St every Tuesday selling Afghani Pakora, Sambusa, Persian Felafel, Bolani, Focaccia, Red Bean Sesame Balls, Somali Doughnuts, Chilli Sauce and the list goes on.
Now we have a series of Cultural Dinners and Cooking Classes on offer.
COOKING CLASS - BREAD MAKING - PERSIAN KALVA, FOCACCIA & FLAT BREAD

You will create your own focaccia using a selection of toppings we have on hand. Kalva is a traditional Persian Bread, golden with a soft texture and rich traditional flavour. Flat breads are easy and versatile so an essential part of the baking repertoire and Persian Naan is the version we will make in this workshop.

If you are keen on dumplings, you will love the Afghani version!
Come and make Mantu & Aushak with us.
Aushak are served for special occasions. A chive filling with a yoghurt-based sauce. The mantu is filled with lamb. Both use a wonderful thin dough that is easy to prepare. You will learn to make the dough and the filling as well as how to steam the dumplings and prepare the sauce, ready for presentation
