SEWING

BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE

COST:    Concession $40 / Non-Concession $60 / $100 full fee

 

 

WHAT TO BRING: we provide all the materials for this class. Participants may bring their own fabric or sewing machine.

This course develops practical sewing skills and techniques as well as creating space to explore and develop your creativity. Several small projects are supplied to develop skills for beginners to intermediate. Participants are encouraged to develop their skills at their own pace.

 

Beginners: tote bag – how to use a simple patten, use of a sewing machine, basic stitches, pencil case or make up bag – how to insert a zipper and lining.

 

Intermediate: pyjamas – using a more advanced pattern, includes making buttonholes, attaching a collar, inserting sleeves, and making elasticated pants.

 

Participants work will be included in an end of year exhibition.
