Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written
The Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English is a foundation course targeted
to learners who have no or limited formal
schooling, no literacy skills in English and may have no literacy skills in their first language.
Certificate I in Spoken and Written English
This is a beginners course that provides general
language education to learners who have had minimal exposure to a learning environment and have just started learning the language.
Certificate II in Spoken and Written English
This is a post-beginner course for students
who have had some formal or informal
exposure to English and have developed a
basic level of English.
Certificate III in Spoken and Written English
This is an intermediate English language course for learners who have developed a practical
level of English, literacy and numeracy skills,
and who have had some formal or informal
exposure to English and education.
Students can enroll in our courses throughout the year under a number of Victorian and Commonwealth funding options: Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE), Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), and Skills First. There are Eligibility requirements that apply to all government funding subsidies. AMEP is free to eligible students.
Skills First Courses
Tuition fees are calculated according to the 2018 Guidelines about Fees –Skills First program. Fees are charged on a prorata basis. Students will receive a Statement of Fees on enrollment and an invoice will be issued on commencement in the course. Please discuss course cost with our Reception.
Pre-accredited courses (ACFE) run over one term or one semester. Course hours are charged at the same hourly tuition as detailed in the Skills First schedule of fees above.
